The study of philology is an essential part of the humanities curriculum
that aims to develop students' understanding and appreciation of language. As educators, it
is our duty to thoughtfully consider the most effective pedagogical approaches to impart
philological knowledge and skills. This article will examine some theoretical principles
underpinning the teaching of philology and propose practical methods rooted in both
productive and reproductive learning.
