This article analyses the content and essence of the rule of law, its role in the formation of a legal state and civil society, and its impact on societal development. the constitutional and legal foundations of the rule of law, the protection of human rights and freedoms, Particular attention is paid to ensuring the legality and transparency of the activities of state bodies, preventing corruption, and raising the legal culture of citizens. The research employs the methods of analysis of normative legal documents, a systematic approach, and logical generalisation. The analysis identifies the main directions for strengthening the rule of law and puts forward proposals and recommendations aimed at its practical implementation.
