This article examines the numerical simulation of hydraulic energy losses caused by fluid flow in pressurized pipes using ANSYS Fluent. It analyzes the effects of pipe-wall friction, flow velocity, pipe geometry, fluid physical properties, and local flow resistances on pressure drop. The research methodology covers the stages of computational geometry creation, mesh generation, physical model selection, boundary condition specification, and post-processing of numerical results. Particular attention is also given to the theoretical estimation of hydraulic losses, mesh independence verification, and ensuring the reliability of simulation results. Based on theoretical relationships, the effects of pipe length and flow velocity on hydraulic losses are analyzed graphically. The proposed approach can be applied to assess the hydraulic performance of pipelines in water supply and district heating systems and to support engineering decisions aimed at improving energy efficiency.
