Abstract

This article analyzes the positive impact of social media on the process of learning Spanish. Nowadays, social media serves as an additional educational tool for searching for learning materials in Spanish, becoming familiar with authentic language samples, expanding vocabulary, and developing listening, speaking, and writing skills. In particular, videos, audio materials, posts, educational pages, and online communities created in Spanish provide learners with opportunities to study the language in a real communicative context. In addition, social media makes it possible to become familiar with different regional varieties and accents of Spanish, communicate with Spanish speakers, and learn about the culture of Spanish-speaking countries.
