Патоморфологические изменения щитовидной железы при сахарном диабета 2типа

Diabetes affects almost all tissues and organs of a human body including
thyroid gland. This investigation is devoted to morphological changes in stroma and
parenchyma of thyroid gland. Fifty thyroid glands of dead patients were taken as a scienti
material, having been divided into groups according to the duration of diabetes and age. In
this investigation we had found out that diabetic microangiopathy and dystrophic, atrophic,
sclerotic processes developed in the thyroid gland of diabetes patients. And these processes
can cause functional dis- turbance.
