Abstract

Teaching young learners is a complex process requiring a deep
understanding of their developmental needs. Young children learn differently from older
students, requiring teachers to use interactive, engaging, and student-centered approaches.
This paper explores the initial steps teachers should take to meet the cognitive, emotional,
social, and physical needs of young learners. The study also outlines practical classroom
strategies and potential challenges teachers may face, along with effective solutions. By
implementing research-based teaching methods, educators can ensure that young learners
develop strong foundational skills and a lifelong love for learning.
