The problem of metabolic syndrome has not lost its relevance for many
years. And while the role of arterial hypertension and coronary heart disease in this context
receives a lot of attention, the contribution of type 2 diabetes mellitus not as an independent
disease, but as part of a pathological medical-social continuum, receives less attention.
Metabolic syndrome is a cluster of risk factors for cardiovascular disease and type 2
diabetes mellitus. According to the results of the INTERHEART study, MS is observed on
average in 26% of the adult population of the planet
