In this article, the use of modern pedagogical technologies in the
education of mentally retarded children of preschool age is scientifically analyzed. Also, in
the article, the current educational system in our republic helps children to develop
independent thinking skills. By comparing independent thinking with pedagogical
technologies, the ideas on the development of children's mental abilities, as well as the role
of family members of mentally retarded children are highlighted.
