The article presents the selection and breeding evaluation of promising lines Hong Kong 23, 24 and 26, isolated by individual selection from Hong Kong-type Chinese pepper hybrids and grown at a 75×17 cm spacing. The lines were assessed for yield, earliness, fruit quality and uniformity relative to the control, and are recommended as initial material for breeding programs.
