Among patients with gastrointestinal complaints, gastroesophageal disease is becoming increasingly common. The primary factor in the development of this condition is the impairment of motor–evacuatory function. This dysfunction typically progresses chronically and leads to a disruption of normal daily life. These circumstances determine the relevance of studying this disease. The present article is aimed at summarizing and analyzing the research conducted within the scope of this condition.
